Oh the indignity
13 February 2023 12:10Got the boy into the vet this morning. Poor kid - the doctor did some manual poo removal. She didn't think he's in too bad of shape but for some unknown reason, obviously he's somewhat dehydrated. Since the girl is also having intermittent issues, she agrees that one of my foods must be causing an issue. They recommended some Miralax until the both of them are back to normal and as much fluids as I can manage to get in them.
Some different brand food that they've had this brand before arrived along with some treats we've had in the past so we'll start to transition that back in and try the process of elimination to find the problem food/treat.
So that I wouldn't have to traumatize the guy again, we did his follow-up thyroid bloodwork a month early and got his rabies shot. They also did some subQ fluids to help. He's gone to the box a few times since we got home about half an hour ago so his system is pushing out the poops.
$500 though. Ugh. And naturally his sister is NOT happy with the stinky boy. Yeah, chick, you're overdue for a visit so don't get too comfortable being sassy.
