When it takes you double the length of a movie to watch the movie and you make a Chinese soup run in the middle of it,you know you have the attention span of a gerbil hopped up on caffeine. Criminy my concentration levels are at an all time low.

And to top it off, Sol Madrid got cut off what I assume was pretty much a couple of minutes before the end. I'll only be bummed if I missed Robert Vaughn sauntering in and putting his hands in his pockets all Napoleon-casual-like.

Hee! It's my proximity to Highland Park. My BFF and I were making jokes about how I should find one of the apartment buildings full of old Jewish ladies so I can have a constant supply of matzo ball soup. ;)

One day I'll have to go to the Kosher Chinese place or the Kosher Pizza place or the Kosher Sushi restaurant. But I end up thinking about that on Saturdays. Having spent 30+ years in a small city in Ohio, I still get a fun culture lesson every day.

Though I still say "pop" instead of "soda" much to the aggravation of the BFF. Hee!

My family was from Queens NY and both parent grew up with a strong Jewish population in the area, so they used Yiddish words and of course me being the good listener that I am leaned a lot of them.

I worked with a Jewish woman way back when and I made a comment to her about a customer who wasn't there to buy, and just wanted to let me know how much he knew about pearls. ( I was in the fine jewelry business for 30+years) anyway when speaking to my fellow employee I said in an exasperated tone that the man was ' a regular maven of pearls.'

Toby laughed and said for and Irish Catholic girl, not only did I know the Yiddish words...I knew how to use them too. She though that was just the best. "D
