It's getting into the 70s again and it had best check itself out there since I don't want any heat waves THINKING about hanging out. I don't think it's forecast to get any warmer but I thought it needed said. Summer was LONG ENOUGH and I want a nice stretch of cool/cold (but not insanely cold) AUTUMN weather, dagnabbit.

I still haven't had a nice cup of mulled apple cider yet or even had some real orchard-picked apples yet. The leaves haven't all completely fallen and a few trees even have those nice deep red colored leaves. Love those.

In other November news, who voted today? I normally wouldn't bother for local stuff but I actually know one of the candidates for school board so had to show my support, y'know!

Yeah, that's all I've got for now. Busy day!

Our Chairman at work brought in most of the contents of her orchard last week. She had her driver dumping sacks of apples and then came back the next day with more. They filled the kitchen and looked like we were operating a bootlegging ring. We all made a massive fuss of "oh thank you, so nice to have proper organic English apples from an English country orchard" But then after about a day and a half at least three quarters of them got this icky white blight thing of horrificness all over them and we remembered why the shops spray a shit-tonne of chemicals on them.

That sucks!

Though for them to go off that quickly probably had a lot to do with them probably being stored at an improper temperature before they got to you guys which would've happened with conventially sprayed ones

It's supposed to hit 80 tomorrow!

I've had lots of cider, though only once had it hot, and I'm on my third bushel of apples from the local orchard. Apple picking stopped here last weekend so you might want to get out this weekend for some apples.

We voted here. It's a lot different than in NJ. First, we did not get a sample ballot mailed to us like we got in NJ so I had to search online to even find out who/what we were voting for. Second, it was a paper ballot which we then scanned into a machine. Third, there was a line and a wait which I never had happen in NJ even when we voted for President. Fourth, we voted for a ton of judges and other positions I never heard of like prothonotary. I don't think we ever voted for judges in NJ.
