Inside Out is a fabulous little movie.

Do NOT forget tissues.

I've heard that it was great. And next Friday - MINIONS!!!

It really is and it also shows so well how depression is and that trying to paint everything with a happy face isn't the answer all the time.

Hee! Ms [livejournal.com profile] veritasema was BOUNCING in her seat at the Minions trailer before this movie. We are most certainly going to see it next weekend.

I thought "OMG that is a visual depiction of my own struggle with depression and how I try to hide it from my friends until it all boils out on me."

I am thinking of seeing Minions next weekend, and I haven't even seen Despicable Me yet.

There are all sorts of minion shorts on Youtube if you haven't already been suckered in by them.

I can't decide if you're a bad influence or a good one. LOL

We just saw an ad for it. Perhaps Sunday, depending upon how partied out we are from tomorrow.

That is the movie I saw today! I loved it, and yes, I needed tissues :D

I even learned a little about myself and my own feelings watching it. I would watch it again, and I don't often say that.

Nice that it made things less dark grey, isn't it? It certainly proves that sometimes you NEED a good cry

Yes.

I cry, but there's the poisonous sort that comes with depression and the good sort. Today was the good sort. The fate of the one character made me sniffly.

I agree! However, tissues were needed even before "Inside Out" started!

You mean Lava? That was so sweet. I'm assuming they based the boy volcano after IZ

That was Ari's first movie, and can I say, she behaved quite well through it... though I get the feeling her father and I were more into it than she was. I thoroughly enjoyed it! I cried through 80% of it, but that's probably because I cry at the drop of a hat. It's up there amid all of my Pixar favorites, though Wall-E still has the number one spot in my heart.

Did you get the Pan preview for yours? Truth be told, I'm usually not a big Peter Pan person, but I'm kind of interested.

I did get the Pan preview but I'm "Pan"ned out. They've done SO many iterations and I think I've seen all of them.

Good going Ari! We did have a few kidlets in our theater and one of them got a little overwhelmed but nothing unexpected.

I've not seen Wall-E. I'll have to get around to watching that one day :)

Amusingly, I haven't seen ANY version of Peter Pan since Hook, so that makes it a bit fresher for me. Plus I love Garret Hedlund (and am still lamenting the demise of Tron 3), so I'm excited about seeing him in the movie.

We made the uninformed mistake of going to our local Cinemark on a Tuesday, which is apparently discount day. Every ticket is $5. Our theater was PACKED with kids, though it was surprisingly quiet throughout the movie. Ari got a little finicky at some parts, and spent most of the movie sitting on my lap, but all in all, I was impressed.

Definitely. Might have to keep that in mind for Xmas or something. That movie just equals <3
