People in Toronto created a memorial for a dead raccoon after the city forgot to pick it up

Some people thought it was disrespectful to the raccoon but it's not like they dressed the poor thing up in a French maid's costume. I say good on them for shaming animal control for dragging their feet.

I think it was awesome. It pushed the point home without being vulgar or disrespectful to the animal's spirit. Seriously, why would they drag their feet on this? That's animal control's job!

I saw a tragic animal loss in London yesterday evening, it was the Anniversary of the Battle of Britain so they had a squadron of the old spitfires out over the Thames flying about, but judging by the carnage on Blackfriars Bridge I'm not sure the London pigeons have remembered what a spitfire is.
