I do plenty of writing at work but then I fizzle out when it comes to communicating about life. Hopefully once next week is done, I'll have some mental energy to post more.
Tomorrow at 11 is when I drive JonJon down to the internal medicine vet. They do need to do a screening echocardiogram but if he passes that (fingers crossed) then I can leave him for the radioactive iodine treatment. It's about a 45 minute drive so hopefully all goes smoothly and I can leave him for his 3-5 day stay. I already have a bag packed with food and snacks and I'll tuck in one of his comfort toys tomorrow. Anything that goes down can't come back (with the exception of the actual carrier) so I'm being careful as to what blankets and such go since they'll be disposed of.
If he gets to have his stay, I may get more than 2-3 hours of sleep in a stretch. Here's hoping that this fixes him and also helps reset his brain a little too as the hunger and the yowling is giving us all sleep deprivation.
This morning I tried a couple of tricks seen on tiktok. One that I hopes work is putting foil on the windows. I didn't put it on all of them but more than half of them and since it's supposed to be in the 90s and then possibly crack 100 again later this week, we'll see if it helps. If it does, then it'll probably stay on the windows until about fall breaks this awful heat.
Ok, need to go take a shower after foil-palooza. Check in later!
