Non update update

missdianeBoth Emily and I had some sort of general crud last week which involved a scratchy throat, upset stomach and feeling fatigued so we were half out of commission for a few days. Fortunately by mid-weekend, we were both feeling somewhat better.
This week I was supposed to have a scan of my carotid arteries on Thursday a couple of hours after my regular GP appointment, but they called and had to reschedule to July 9 (the scan, not the GP). Ah well, no real rush there I suppose. Hoping the GP appointment goes well, though fingers crossed that whatever blood tests I have show improvement from taking the Mounjaro. Either way between her and the cardiologist, I'm probably going to have to pick my statin. Bah.
I filmed some footage for the channel at the Rose and Sensory Gardens recently but unfortunately, not much at ALL was in bloom even though I know they were due to have their annual rose festival last weekend. But I'll go back when things are a little more sprightly and hopefully get some good footage to use as a "walk with me" video.
Speaking of the channel, we're currently up to 3280 subscribers and getting more each day. I posted another "seamstress" roleplay video that went out last week and already has nearly 8000 views (!). I'll also get my first payout in a couple of weeks which covers a little more than a month since monetization. We've made $290 in that time and that was before the popular video this week.
So as long as it's fun, I'll keep making videos. I have an idea for a 70s hippy dippy mom where I might show off those horrid recipe cards and make some jello/cool whip/cottage cheese/pineapple "fluff" since that was a mom go-to and also, it won't go to waste since I actually like the infernal gloop lol. But I will make it with sugar free jello and sugar free cool whip.
If anyone has any thoughts for a 1920s that isn't necessarily flapper, I'm game. I have a stick phone with a rotary dial that I'm itching to use as a prop and some dresses that will pass well enough as era-appropriate house dresses.
